‘The spark that ignited the passion behind the TEMBAINE Desert Rally was a personal experience in southern Tunisia, shared with a group of thirty bikers. It was during this trip that I discovered the unique pleasure of exploring the desert dunes on a pedal-assisted mountain bike, for the first time instead of traditional rally bikes.

 

That trip was a real eye-opener, inspiring me to conceive of a new and exciting format for a desert bike race: the magical silence of the desert, the endless dunes and the freedom to explore without the roar of engines captured my imagination...
